The economic system currently enjoyed by the United Federation of Planets was the most influential (for Earthlings) by the economic vision first presented by Michael Albert and Robin Hahnel in the early 1990s, which they called "the participatory economy "or" parecon ". Paradoxically, the anarchy of the mid-21st century has provided the first actual implementation and testing of parecon ideals in two small villages across different countries, Kenowago in South Africa and New Haverbrook in the mid-west American (who happened to be only 130 miles from the base Cochrane Zephram development chain, although the famous physicist had no idea of its existence until later).
