Acyclovir Lip Balm

Acyclovir Lip BalmHow do I get rid of wounds dry cracks in the corners of my mouth?

I had a redness in the corners of my mouth for about 4 months now. It will dry and crack in the morning if I do not put lip balm on all night. I went to the Docter twice now to no avail. He recommended Aveeno (zinc oxide), but this does not work. He did a blood test that has not resulted in anything. The last time he prescribed Acyclovir (for virusus) and it did not work either. It is a minor wounds but they were a giant pain.

This may sound stupid to you, but it is possible that this is a yeast infection. It is called angular cheilitis: cracks in the red corner of the mouth is often covered by a pseudo membrane.

Do not use soap, but wash your mouth with a cloth soaked in cleaning and keeping the lips lubricated with plain, unflavored lip balm all day and night.

You can try this: extract of grapefruit seed, tea capricin, homeopathic Silicea Candida, wormwood oil, grape seed, and gentian. Eating yogurt every day may help. Make sure you get the yogurt with active cultures. If you do not they sell yogurt acidophilus (the ingredient in yogurt that fights yeast infection) in health food stores.

Another thing to do is to sterilize your toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide or household alcohol to 70 percent for a few minutes to prevent recontamination of the mouth with organizations that survive on the brush.

Hope this helps. :)

Make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day. I have the same problem and my doctor told me to drink more water .. and it has helped and I feel better too .. then give it a try. I drink 6 bottles of water per day now. and a few drinks with meals .. I hope it helps you too. success

Change of soap, or try to use unscented for sensitive skin, which will also toothpaste, Sensodyne and proceed to throw your toothbrush, time to change, use an unscented moisturizer and apply some triple antibiotic the affected area several times a day and stop licking his lips, keeping them soft with Vaseline. Remember to use the triple antibiotic, Polysporin is great.

I had this problem and I used mentholatum.I tried everything, go to the doctor too. He had to continue to use for a long period. But he finally went away. You do not know if it heals, but it has certainly help. Good luck, I feel your pain.

First of all don `t lick with your tongue up moisture because as soon as the pin dry itchy burning sensation will return.
use as much lip balm as you can and Don `t overexposure to sun or wind, as it dries the skin.
Acyclovir for herpes, the two types and this thing you have on your lips is not herpes, who couldn `t last 4 month.

You may have to go old school on this.

try a little Vaseline from the jar.
