Advanced Colon Cancer

A person has Alzheimer's disease and advanced cancer advanced. Now, to sleep a lot .. as in most of the day and night. Can not walk, chew, etc. .. Is all this means a time of survival?

My father-in-law has stopped eating, drinking, etc. about a week before his death. He was sent to hospital with palliative care and said he only live a few weeks - they were right. He stayed the last week before his death, and when he was awake, he was incoherent.
