Aromatherapy Aphrodisiac

Aromatherapy AphrodisiacIdeas for the combination of aromatherapy?

After seeing how to make bath bombs on the BBC show "Grow your own medicine" I made for my friends with different crystals for the bath of color. I just want ideas for other more inventive - combinations essential oils that are supposed to be aphrodisiacs, relaxants, stimulants, etc. I started to dabble in aromatherapy, but I am very amateur when it comes to combining them so help would be very much appreciated:)

To relax and improve my mood, I use lavender and orange. This also allows a great massage oil. You can use sage or eucalyptus and lavender instead. Eucalyptus has a slightly medicinal smell, but it is relaxing and will help clear the sinuses.

To wake me up when I'm having trouble getting started like lemongrass and rosemary or lemongrass and peppermint. Peppermint and cinnamon are good "pick me up" and are excellent for sore muscles. They both mix well with hints of citrus-y, but they tend not to mix with more floral notes or wood, but there are exceptions.

For general relaxation, fruity nearby is very good with sandalwood.

Be careful with patchouli. People either love it or hate it. Personally, I like it mixed with citrus smell a nice scent happy.

Trial and error is the way forward ... try mixing stuff down to get an idea of how they go together. For practice, try to reproduce the smells you know that you want.

Being new to aromatherapy, you must do your best to become familiar with the world of essential oils. Some users may have reactions when certain conditions are present, for example, pregnancy and skin. There is a very thorough Aromatherapy Guide can be downloaded in PDF format which gives you a summary on a ton of essential oils, their potential uses, and health warnings. This is a one-stop shop for what you need to know. You can find it on the site of my sources (and probably elsewhere).

There are some great combinations. Lavender and Roman chamomile is ideal for relaxing.

All citrus base is excellent for revitalization.

But you must be careful. Some oils may have adverse effects. So please do your research before you try a few combinations.
