Colon Doctor

Colon DoctorAir in my colon? The doctor said there appears to have some air in my colon, I would like to return to the office.?

It sounds funny, as if there was a fart huge expectations on the surface, but I do not like when 5 minutes after I left the doctors' offices and say they call back the night for further tests. Could air in your colon be a sign of colon cancer? I have not found an answer online. Thank you for your expertise.

I've never heard of air in a colon and I also searched for laughs and nothing was found and, sorry, but I do not know what it could be.

Air in the colon is not a normal finding, but it is not uncommon. It is often caused by an obstruction and the obstruction may or may not be cancer. The main concern of this disease is perforation and subsequent infection that could realistically cause. This is a potentially dangerous situation and requires decompression of the colon as soon as possible. I hope everything goes well.

Air in the colon is perfectly normal. It's just gas. Air in the stomach outside of the colon is something entirely different. I suspect that is what your doctor is to see, and he either misspoke or you misunderstood.

the open air in the stomach is a symptom of intestinal perforation is possible and must be treated quickly. So back there and get him checked. And good luck!
