Cystic Adenocarcinoma

Cystic AdenocarcinomaTiny lung nodules?

found in both lungs on CT after hysterectomy pathogly report states "endocervical adenocarcinoma" did not know before hysterectomy, the PAP was normal and ultrasound was normal. Now I have this report that states "multiple small pulmonary nodules metastics the disease can not be excluded, "he also said enlarged cystic right ovary wth change" can someone tell me why they were missed and if I am interested in what is in the lungs, I do have a history of smoking over the past 20 years and I am only 39 and my sister has stage 4 colon cancer (HNPCC) diagnosed at 39 two years ago. What are the chances of this being a new primary or metasicised if cervical cancer was non invasive, how can it be???

I can not answer 100% correctly without having read the pathology report, but I think it says that your hysterectomy showed endocervical adenocarcinoma, a type of cervical cancer, and that the nodules in the lungs can not be excluded that the disease metastatic cancer of the cervix. I would not jump to the conclusion that this is true until you have your oncologist explain the pathology report of yourself. This is certainly not clear in the pathology report so far. Your smoking exposes you to a slightly higher risk of lung involvement, but these nodules require biopsy before they mean anything. If you said the cervical cancer was not invasive, so assume this is true until proven otherwise. I know how easy it is to assume the worst, but did not. Make an appt. with your oncologist or a surgeon for a full explanation and see what you need to do to confirm what happens with pulmonary nodules.

If you do not feel surgery after cancer symptoms (fever, weight loss, etc.) so I think that these nodules are an incidental finding and not cancer. You already know you should stop smoking anyway and then you'll have one less thing to worry about. good luck with everything

I do not know what the risks are, but I do not know what if Caen is invasive or not he can still spread throughout the body. Sorry I cannot give you more information.
