Feline Colon Cancer

Feline Colon CancerBARF diet for cats ... anyone?

I have a male cat adult who has been troubled by a horrible disease called inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) told me the vet, he ends up with colon cancer. Yes, he had chronic colitis, a problem in the large intestine that was causing my cat bleed into the rectum and horrible, non-stop diarrhea. My child has become tired of his suffering and I was getting so, so tired of throwing sheets, cleaning up after him every day, sometimes 2 times a day. I could not sleep well what about what I could have perhaps found in the dirty house. He never went outside the box, but all that blood, with colon mucosa out he could not control. My cat got to a point where he could not sit comfortably, and there were bloody diarrhea in its tail, kitchen countertops, tables, cabinets etc. ALL THE TIME.

I do not want to watch my cat to quit and not do anything, so I did some research and eventually past a species appropriate diet: cooked or raw meat with bones, organs and probiotics and digestive enzymes. I now keep all my cats on the BARF diet, always making sure I get fresh food from animals that have not been cured or injected substances to keep meat fresh. I also make sure to keep the right to phosphorus-calcium, and it's been a year since I have not seen signs of IBD. my cat feces are formed and in good health. My vet says my cat looks incredibly thin.

So I just wanted to see how to follow this regime and what you think. I am aware of the risks, such as toxoplasmosis, but my cat was dying before my eyes on Science Diet, Purina, Iams, food limitation as Hill's Z / D etc., and much, much more expensive commercial feed and not a license my poor feline. He was on antibiotics and prednisone every time and nothing has ever worked! So, I learned that cats are carnivores and require need to eat other animals to live a better life. I noticed too many cases of IBD, diabetes, obesity, urinary tract infections, kidney disease and cancer, because we all species feeding inappropriate foods for our precious pets. The number of those patients continues to increase, and we are responsible.

Anyone trying to diet? I hear some of your experiences.

When I was investigating the raw diet I was on groups where people have indicated that many cats would be "cured" of IBD in 48 hours. I have not experienced this with my cats and I'm glad to hear further testimony to the effectiveness of a diet of raw meat for the health of cats.

Me too, only 50% raw diet. Right now I'm down to my last frozen muffins "raw chicken. No heart at the store today. When I called the market where I make my turkey pieces last week they had to clean the turkey and set the hearts and livers for use with Turkey.

Therefore, having acquired two kittens this summer I'm going in the mixture of raw meat to twice the speed I'm used to.

I do not think the diet has tremendous benefits for the health of cats.

I use the barf with my cats, I have 4 now, and Ive never looked back. the book was written by a veterinarian in Bathurst, NSW west, and worked for the place where it was printed. I tell everyone about this plan, as much money is spent on unnecessary canned and dried foods. his opinion much cheaper to feed them bones and raw food, me. I swear by this plan, I just hope this thread gives a little more publicity to it, go to your local bookstore or your library, read the book, and I guarantee that you change your diet of animal it was written for dogs, but cats can and do use it with the same amount of success. Thank you oh and also go to the site feed barf

Yes, our three cats are on a diet called BARF Rad Cat we buy frozen from places like Whole Foods Market and health food stores for pets. We also live near the place where i.
