Hazardous Essential Oils Is it safe to burn essential oils around my parakeet? I know that burning incense and scented candles around my parakeet is dangerous to his health, but I wonder if the same thing for essential oils? Yes, it can be dangerous animals that can not process the oils in the same way we do. Maybe you could use water floral scent to your room as they would be less strong for your bird.
