Hazardous Essential Oils

I know that burning incense and scented candles around my parakeet is dangerous to his health, but I wonder if the same thing for essential oils? If so, suggestions on certain aspects birdie at the strong scent my room? Thank you!

All that "perfume" of the air will be dangerous - even cleaning. If you want a pleasant fragrance in your room, your best bet would be to go natural. fresh fir branches, all changed so often (keep in water and they will last longer). Or a piece of wood you can sand every once in awhile to refresh the smell. Pine, cedar and juniper are all very fragrant wood that hold the scent for a long period and may be updated by sanding the wood from time to time.

Yes, it can be dangerous animals that can not process the oils in the same way we do. Maybe you could use water floral scent to your room as they would be less strong for your bird. Birds are very sensitive to smoke even the Teflon pans may affect them badly. I do not want to bother. It is not worth the risk.
