Dove soap not fragrance free

QUESTION: My wife is sensitive to many chemicals and plastics. Until recently, it has tolerated Dove soap, that is for sensitive skin, which states that "without perfume", said on the label. She did not tolerate the soap for two or three months and finally contacted Dove complain. Customer Service Dove said they now use a masking fragrance in the soap.I am writing just to inform readers, this soap is more appropriate for someone who needs to avoid fragrances.MarkPOSTED BY MARK: : Oklahoma USA:: 07/08/2007 2:13 PM
This is a secondary issue to the question above - the company does not appear to be Dove "to" natural ingredients. I do not use this product, but reacted badly to be with someone who does - "redefined" Beautifully clean Shampoo - Dove. The dangerous ingredient for me is indicated on the website - "Glycol distearate , "also known as ethylene glycol distearate. Ethylene glycol is antifreeze! Hi all, I too am so disappointed that Dove has abandoned the dove unscented formula ... I agree that Dove Sensitive Skin Nonscented is NOT the same as our beloved Dove unscented ... I hope that Dove will reconsider its decision to terminate our favorite bars of soap (like old Coke did years) ... Not sure what I'll use it now, but it will not unsensitive DOVE soap that has a perfume smell that bothers me now, I had to change tonatural of handmade soap.
