Pancreas Infection

Pancreas InfectionMy Guinea Pig has an infection of the pancreas and a respitory infection?

He is currenty on antibiotics and he returned to the vet in 2 days. How dangerous is this infection?

URI (respiratory infection) can be fatal to the GP, but is treatable when caught in time and treated. I hope you have a friendly Guinea Pig antibiotic such as Baytril or Bactrim. Please consult this list to ensure you have a good antibiotic. http://guinealynx.info/dangerous_medicat ...

Read all guinealynx.info for all the info you need to keep your pig healthy.

After doing a little research on pancreatitis, I found this thread on the forum Guinea Lynx. I hope it helps: http://www.guinealynx.info/forums/viewto ...

I agree with the description of Memphis Gal URI. You really need to watch your little guy as closely as possible. Make sure it is to eat, drink and relieve himself as regular. Weigh daily to ensure it does not lose weight. If you do not notice these things, you must make an appointment with the vet and seek immediate intensive care. Critical Care is a nutritional supplement that feeds the Guinea Pig by the syringe (with the needle of course) in his mouth. It should work if it becomes sluggish.
