I am a child in a car jeep. That would be a durable and lightweight material for molding the body? It is a basket of garden. Made by Rubbermaid and I want to reproduce my Jeep Wrangler for my baby to be pulled into it. Should I pan of Bondo on a rough frame?
You can make a model and use of fiberglass, but on the other hand you can see if you can find a jeep power wheels that do not work and change the ending before accepting a handful. These things usually have problems when e left out so it could be fairly easy to find. We have three of them at work that does not work if you are anywhere near Manning, SC I can probably connect you with one.
The only time you want to use for work finsh and is bondo filling in minor imperfections. If you use bondo it weighs a ton. Glass on the other is actually quite easy to work with, but his disorder. You can place your model of anything. I use 2 "thick foam blue or pink. You have to paint the foam so that the resin does not eat (not cheap latex paint works well).. Use of glass sheets cut. Sheets chopped glass cover complex curves better than woven leaves. Cut your pieces in advance. You can cut a piece for the hood, front fenders, sides, ect just remember who is who and how you will lay to install . Lay on the cover (just an example.) mix the resin and either a brush or spill and use a spreader. Do not use too much hardener. It will reduce the working time to follow the mixing instructions . Once you have covered and cures glass dig the foam glass leaves and add more to the inside for strength even if you find a place you feel need more strength than you can add wood to help support it and drink in the woods (Say the seat and dashboard). You can use woven for this if you want because you will not see it. Once everything is cured sand Bondo and any dips or waves, and then paint it. (flames Flames baby!)
Good luck, hope this helps
Truejeepers Hey
Cool, true to yourself. Bondo is easy to access, easy to train, long-term. Fiberglass is more difficult.
