Shower NozzleWhy Clean Shower Head

U.S. scientists have discovered that the showerhead can hide the harmful germs such as Mycobacterium avium. Another common bacterium in water and known to hide in the showers is Legionella. Legionellosis is usually acquired by inhalation or aspiration of legionellae from a contaminated source environment. Similarly, if the bacterium Mycobacterium avium is inhalled may cause Mycobacterium avium complex, which is also similar to pneumonia. Legionellosis is caused by the bacterium Legionella pneumophila and is a kind of pneumonia. The bacteria are found in freshwater environments of hot water, cooling towers, hot water systems, whirlpool baths, humidifiers clinical respiratory equipment, spray vegetables in supermarkets, natural spa baths, fountains , soil and compost. While healthy people need not fear, people with weakened immune systems should seek to prevent infection.

If a shower is used in your family, you can avoid bacteria build up in your shower head by taking these measures.

1. Use warm water to rinse your shower head - Run only the hot water about once a month (you can do it more often) through the showerhead to get rid of germs and micro-collection agencies.

2. Clean Shower Head - Remove your showerhead by turning the shower head clockwise counter where it attaches to the shower pipe. Place the showerhead into a bowl of white vinegar. Make sure all the holes in the showerhead are completely submerged. Soak in vinegar for 15-20 minutes. stubborn deposits may take a little more, but do not soak for more than 30 minutes at a time. After soaking, use an old toothbrush or other stiff brush to scrub clean holes. Replace the showerhead. Get rid of the rest of the vinegar by running a little hot water in the shower head. Note: If you can not remove the shower head for cleaning, fill a small plastic bag, like a sandwich bag with white vinegar and secure tightly around the showerhead. As mentioned above, soak for 15-20 minutes, but not more than 30 minutes at a time. Use a brush to clean the holes, and run hot water in the shower to rinse the head.

3. Every few years to replace the head of your shower. - Just buy a new one as shower heads are not very expensive. It is preferable to a metal shower head with a filter. Get rid of the old who has accumulated microbes. The cleaning with chlorine or vinegar prevents massive build, but ultimately a shower head is old bacteria simply grow back.
