Where can I buy the ingredients for making soap at low prices? I really want to start making different types of soap and scrub the bathroom, but all the places I found online seems to be quite expensive ingredients. Does anyone know a good place to buy the ingredients?
Welcome to the addiction!
If you plan to know the cold, you can get many of your ingredients at the grocery store.
Olive oil, lard, Crisco oil, grape seed. Castor oil can be purchased at the pharmacy. Lye in some hardware stores (in the island of plumbing ... must say 100% sodium hydroxide or caustic soda)
As for online vendors, here's a link to a page I made with tons of vendors who sell everything needed to make soap, either cold or melt and pour.

New Directions has really good prices and a great choice.
Mountain Rose Herbs has very good price, especially if one takes into account the fact that many of their business is organic.
Love of nature with a large selection and good prices too.
See the link .... More than 50 great places to get supplies from. You should be able to find a place fairly close to home (saving on shipping).
Good luck and have fun!
