Uv Protective Clothing

Uv Protective ClothingThe use of titanium dioxide or zinc oxide as sunscreen and effectiveness against UV radiation?

I am a solar house and I was hoping to get some clarity on the physical blocks, especially titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.

I wonder which is better if they are to block UVA, UVB and UVC (a problem in Australia) radiation. Is there a disadvantage or an advantage to use both or separately?

I know that the maximum allowance of 25% solution either, would there be an advantage to using a solution of 12.5% at the time?

I have a nice base tan. I will be suspended in a solution coconut, soybean and olive oil. I intend to wear sunscreen and clothing that will simply applied to exposed skin.

So if you have any ideas, comments or suggestions please share them with me. I am well aware that I can buy just as effective, if not more effective lotions commercially prepared, but I will not do so anytime soon. I have allergies and hypersensitivity too many and too much of a propensity for independence. Thank you all.

Both are essentially simple physical blocking agents that have broad absorption spectrum of wavelengths of light including UV-A and UV-B (not sure of UV-C, but they suspect that they work too well against this ).

The reasoning behind the maximum compensation of 25% is probably more frm the point of view of treatment for reasons toxicalogical. You must use ZnO and TiO2 Pharma Grade ensure that you have no heavy metals, arsenic and cadmium in the mixture. Also, you'll need an anti-insurance (antioxidants - wheat germ oil will work, or vitamin E).

Your problem with making "house" is one of consistency - you need to ensure the oxides are reduced to micron or sub-micron design and a "dispersion of particles tight" (ie all particle size even - say + / - 50%). For an aesthetic product, perhaps even a dispersion of nano-particles - they give a "non-whitening sunscreen type.
