Vegetable Glycerin Where can you buy vegetable glycerine? Hello everyone! Trying to make my moisturizer, and I am new to this. I live in a beautiful rural area ... and when I try to find info on the net, all I get is buying ad pages for products that have glycerin in them, but no real pure glycerin. Glycerine is a byproduct of the process of making soap. If the soap was made using all herbal oils, it will be labeled vegetable glycerin. You can usually find in any grocery store. It will be in the first aid section. Make sure it says vegetable glycerin on the label somewhere, or it can come from using soap made from animal fats, tallow or other. You can also look on websites that sell lotions making and soap making supplies. www.seelecttea.com Posted on January 20, 2010.
